Buenas Noches from Guatemala

We are so excited to have this opportunity to get involved in the school.

God’s provisions began with a beautiful picturesque boat ride to San Pedro.

We were greeted warmly at the dock with smiling faces and open arms.  We were led through town by our greeters to the school.

We were immediately introduced to a number of staff members and students which made us feel so welcome.

The staff blessed us with an incredible lunch, so incredible that we are going to do our best to bring the recipe home with us.

There were some incredible projects we are looking forward to this week.

Today we surprised ourselves by the amount of work that we all got accomplished.  From the youngest toddler, to the mature adult, we demolished, sanded, chipped away cement, and moved lots and lots of firewood.  There was amazing team work.  Sadly the only wildlife we saw was a little lizard.

This week will be a blessing we allow God to guide us through our mission here.  One major aspect of that mission will be home visits.  We are allowed to build relationships that God has for us to be a part of.
