June 2019 – Wellspring Team – Update #3

Hi folks.

We had a very moving day today. Relaxing morning, where the team attended a Mayan weaving demonstration. After lunch we broke into three teams, including a translator and Guatemalan student guide for each team, and went to visit people in the community in their homes. Our purpose was to get to know each other a little and to pray for anything they might need in their lives and families. All of the youth participated, including sharing and praying. I don’t know why I’m still amazed at what our Father does, but He is moving among our youth and in every one of their lives.

Tonight we went to church at Iglesias Bethel, the church that is connected with the school. Our Youth were invited to the front and sang “Thrive” by Casting Crowns. I honestly didn’t know how well it was going to go…I had to play guitar and lead from behind them and I couldn’t hear anything. By the way, this was in front of hundreds of people. When we finished, there was applause…the whole team was smiling, and a little later I was told they were fantastic, they could be heard, and well…God is good. I was invited to preach and the Holy Spirit moved in the whole service.

Tomorrow we will begin work projects at the school. Taylor will be speaking to the local high schoolers in the morning and the middle schoolers in the afternoon, so pray for him. Also, Please pray for Monica, she’s having some respiratory and stomach issues. There is a lot of smoke in the air. We need her well!

Shalom! Pastor Pat Hadley
